Introduction

The Won Report is an annual analysis of the world’s best direct marketing and digital advertising as measured by the quantity and quality of awards won. It is compiled by Patrick Collister and has been published since 2003.

In 2008, the world's award winning direct marketing and digital advertising were logged into the www.thebigwon.com database.

The awards shows scrutinised include
The global shows – Cannes, the Caples and the ECHOs,
The semi-global shows such as D&AD, the New York Festivals, LIAA, Clios etc
Regional shows, including EPICA, Adfest and FIAP among others.
Local shows – but only one per country.

The Won Report allows agencies and networks to evaluate their performance against each other and against their own criteria of excellence. Awards are also of interest to Wall Street and the City, where analysts look for differentiators between the holding companies.
